HEI³ – Living in the future.
In the heart of Heidelberg.
Europe’s first 3D-printed apartment building
A building you experience –
not just inhabit
Revolutionary 3D printing construction method
HEI³ was built layer by layer using state-of-the-art concrete 3D printing technology. The organic forms, visible lines and curved walls are not just a technical feature – hey transform the sense of space and actively enhance comfort.
The difference for your stay
How a 3D-printed apartment hotel is created
Experience in impressive time-lapse clips how HEI³ is created from the first layers to the finished apartment hotel. The construction process shows precise robotic movements, automated concrete lines and the speed with which a complete building is created through 3D printing.
Architecture & exterior views – the future within reach
The exterior façade of HEI³ is characterised by the typical, gently curved 3D printing lines. The organic design appears modern, almost sculptural – particularly impressive from the air.
Ideal to combine with your drone footage:
- Overall view of the building
- Circular flight around the organic curves
- Detailed shots of the printed concrete structure
Interior Spaces – Modern. Minimalist. Intelligently designed.
HEI³ combines the distinctive architecture of 3D printing with clean modern interiors. The apartments are bright, functional and fitted to a high standard with visible architectural details of the printed walls, calm colours and flexible living areas for working, relaxing or longer stays.
For city travellers, HEI³ offers a modern alternative to traditional hotels or holiday apartments and stands for stylish, digital and exceptional living in Heidelberg.
Your advantages at HEI³ – thanks to innovative 3D printing technology
HEI³ creates a pleasant sense of space and a calm atmosphere through the distinctive structures of the 3D-printed walls. The architecture provides better acoustics, a balanced indoor climate and resource-efficient construction. The concept is complemented by a fully digital stay with self-check-in, smart locks and high-speed Wi-Fi, ideal for short stays as well as longer-term living in Heidelberg.
How does 3D printing actually work?
In the construction of HEI³, concrete was applied layer by layer via a computer-controlled robotic arm. Every wall, every curve and every form was digitally planned and then automatically printed – without formwork, without traditional masonry.
This technology enables:
- Freeform design
- Precise construction processes
- Less waste
- Faster construction times
- Maximum stability
A construction method that is currently only used in a few projects worldwide – and HEI³ is amongst the most exciting of them.
